Parent & Caregiver Counselling
-
I believe that parents and caregivers are the most important people in the world. There is a great deal of pressure to do things the “right” way, and an abundance of information, sometimes conflicting, about what exactly that means.
The truth is, every child, parent, and parent-child relationship is unique. My work with parents and caregivers begins with understanding your family and the concerns that have brought you to counselling.
-
You might be feeling rejected by your child, or unsure how to respond to the influence of social media and technology. You may want to provide structure and boundaries while preserving your connection.
I use my knowledge of attachment, emotions, and neurobiology to help you understand your child’s experience. Together, we explore parenting strategies and communication that fit your family. This work can include parenting psychoeducation and joint sessions with young people aged 12 and older and their caregivers.
-
Sibling relationships are influenced by temperament, birth order, and family dynamics. Conflict and competition can leave parents wondering when to step in and how to support each child.
I work with siblings aged 12 and older individually, together, and with parents to explore these dynamics, strengthen communication, and develop healthy boundaries.

My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental, and tailored to the people in the room. We begin with your family’s experiences and work together to identify goals that are meaningful to you.
A free 15-minute consultation offers a chance to talk about what support you are looking for and whether my approach is a fit.
