Adult Counselling
-
Sometimes the life we are living does not reflect what matters to us. Expectations, past experiences, and familiar patterns can make it difficult to understand what we need or how to move forward.
As a registered psychologist in Calgary, I offer adult counselling that begins with understanding you as a whole person. This work can include self-esteem, self-worth, identity, and the experiences and concerns of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. Together, we explore what a more authentic and meaningful life could look like for you.

We make meaning from our experiences and develop patterns to help us understand ourselves and the world. At times, those patterns can leave us feeling stuck or move us further from the life we want.
Counselling offers a place to explore anxiety, mood struggles, and the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and relationships. We work together to understand these patterns and identify therapy goals that fit your needs.

Life changes can bring grief, guilt, shame, or uncertainty about identity, purpose, and the future. The end of a romantic relationship or friendship, changes in work, aging, and living with chronic pain or illness can affect how we understand ourselves.
You do not have to have everything figured out before starting counselling. We can begin with what feels difficult now and explore what support and change could mean for you.

Differences in attention, organization, time management, motivation, routines, and sensory experience can shape daily life and relationships. My approach begins with understanding how you function and what your experience is like.
Therapy is not one size fits all. Together, we develop an understanding of your experiences and identify strategies and goals that fit your needs. Read more about my approaches on the Therapy page, or book a free 15-minute consultation to discuss working together.
